Oh, this one I can help. First, form a Grignard reagent. Grignard reagent produces a carbanion that attacks formaldehyde. You get a primary alcohol, with a -CH2OH replacing the Br. The acidic medium is deprotection. You get an aldehyde on the left end. Option C looks about right.

yeah its right but i didnt get the aldehyde part oh right its just the reverse of acetal formation danks +solved @Opt
