High ping
Hello, I have a problem with ping.
When I go to the shooting range and want to shoot bots, I have about 1000-10000 ping and when I shoot one bot that appears and disappears, I have normal ping. If I die during a round and I watch someone, sometimes I also have about 1000 ping. This has been happening to me for a long time. I have tried many things, for example:
- I uninstalled VALORANT and installed it
- I recently formatted my computer
- I repaired files in Riot Games
My internet is good so I don't know why this is happening. I kindly ask for help because I have been writing about this problem for a long time and no one wants to help me. Thank you in advance. Best regards!

ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING 171217031901765 Rev X.0x
Are you using wifi or Ethernet
Ethernet
I downloaded this file and installed it, but when I enter the install file, cmd appears and disappears very quickly, and when I enter VALORANT, I still have 1000-10000 ping.
wait is it always high or just when you shoot bots?
When I enter the shooting range, I have about 13 ping, but when I click on practice, which means that a lot of bots appear, then I have a high ping, but when I click on the option with one bot that appears and disappears, then I have a normal ping.
But if I first click the pratise option with a large number of bots and then I want to switch to the 2nd option with one bot, the ping is still high
So all I have to do is click on the practice option and I have a high ping and it doesn't decrease at all
does this also happen in game?
If I die in a game, no matter if it's Swift Play unranked or ranked, sometimes I also have ping, but usually it's 800 ping
And when I enter Deathmatch, at the beginning of the round I have a terribly high ping and after about 1-2 minutes it normalizes to 13 ping
could you run a traceroute towards
162.249.72.0
& 185.40.64.0
and post a screenshot
Is that what it was about?
it's basically a map on how your data is being handled to a specific destination
could you do
ping 192.168.1.1 -n 100
and show a screenshot of the summary when it's done running?
tbh I'm pretty sure this is hardware related or something local cuz orange is a pretty huge ISP so there would be more people complainingWill we be able to fix it?

when it's done there will be a Summary
This is how time is generated downwards

you're on Ethernet right?
Yes
how many people share the internet and what's your speed?
also can you try this program? https://1.1.1.1
1.1.1.1 — The free app that makes your Internet faster.

OK

Now, when I have CloudFlare turned on, I have 8 ping, but sometimes it jumps to 30-40 ping, and when I turn the program off, it works as before, i.e. I have 1000-10000 again.
could you do this again?

A small minus in this program is that sometimes my ping jumps from 8 to 50-70.
could you install these two drivers and restart your pc?

I installed these 2 drivers and restarted my computer
can you turn off 1.1.1.1 and run this again?
So now I have to go to the shooting range in Valorant?
and show a screenshot

could you try the range with 1.1.1.1 on and off?
Of course
:Clove_Hearts:
With 1.1.1.1 - 8 ping but sometimes 30-60 ping
Without 1.1.1.1 - 1000-10000 ping
i guess its a isp issue but like :youmu_stare:
also what type of ethernet cable do you use? could you try to find a new one to try with 1.1.1.1 and see if the ping spikes appear or not?
and also are you connected directly into the router or via a wifi extender?
I'll try to find another cable
?
my ethernet cable is directly connected to the router
@MICHU a bit random but can you also try to turn off your router for 5min then turn it on again?
see if it fixed the problem without using 1.1.1.1
I'll try it but it'll be tomorrow, thanks for your help. I'll write tomorrow
