- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After you’re done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)

first of all i didnt evne get to install Riot vanguard
before i could even install it
the error popped up
it paused the installation
and when i open cmd and type those commands it says error and file not found
i didnt install it in the C drive
theres no vanguard folder in the drive i installed
and theres no longer a riot client on my p
c

Download auto runs from the system internal suite
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
When you have it open press file, and then run as administrator
Then uncheck anything that is red or yellow
Except Vanguard and anything that fails to be unchecked
Restart your computer and then try the game again

Download the folder
Extract the files
And run the “autoruns”
i ran it
now wat

i couldnt disable some system 32 files is that ok?

Also did you click on files and run it as admin

i unchecked all the red and some of the yellows that i could now do i restart?

And then try the riot client
ok i restarted
i opened the riot client
it gave me the option to update
i clicked update
didnt work
same issue
Hmm are you using any 3rd party antivirus
Also open control panel > uninstall a program
And check if there’s riot vanguard

i disabled it
and it worked
