Ah trippy question. The question asks work done on the block only. So, final velocity of the block is v/4 (Momenta skibidi) and the change in energy of the block is 1/2m(v^2/16)=1/2mv^2=-15/32mv^2

From momenta conservation, we have m.v=4mv' meaning v'=0.25v. Now change in energy of block is w.d. by friction, so 1/2mv^2(1/16-1)=-15/32mv^2
