Elder Scrolls Online not working on Heroic Launcher

Hello! I'm trying to help a friend who recently moved to Bazzite to install ESO. He only has it on Epic Games, and was not being able run the game via Heroic Games Launcher. I've never had to use Heroic as I use mostly only Steam. But I tried to install from his account on my computer but it also did not work. Applying Winetricks gave a bunch of errors, mostly related to it using not working on 64 bit prefixes. I don't know how to change to the 32 bits version, or if the problem is something related to the immutable nature of Bazzite. We've been following this tutorial, but if anyone know if there's a better way to play games from Epic rather than using Heroic or this specific method I'm also open to alternatives.

I have a few people on the Heroic discord server facing issues after the most recent update to ESO. Nothing resolved yet for that winetricks error, it's actually just a warning though dotnet48 does suck to install under Wine

Is there a better alternative to dotnet48?

there was one thing in the run logs that suggested maybe installing dotnet40_kb(something), but I can't recall if that changed anything

I have not found this on my logs, just this warning. warning: This package (dotnet40) may not fully work on a 64-bit installation. 32-bit prefixes may work better. I'm assuming that the Steam version is working. Thats the only alternative to playing ESO on Linux currently?

you would need to enable verbose logging for the Heroic game and dig into it post it here and I can show you specifically what I was looking at

Switch to GE-Proton-latest and also ensure that umu is enabled by checking and unchecking the disable umu button
