we are banned for no reason, for no reason, when we are innocent. There is no such nonsense. The authorities don't even look at the tickets.

Yes and no, from your point of view you really didn't do anything that violated the rules of the game, however from Vanguard's point of view, it won't let an account run where the owner has malware on their computer
Vanguard won’t ask you friendly if the malware is for hvh only
it will simple stamp a ban on your face

hvh is hacker vs hacker, there are even tournaments for such stuff in cs2, and it's done on specifically dedicated servers for that. And even if they were to cheat in other game, banning someone in Val whilst nothing was done to Val's processes is still unfair, since it doesn't violate their TOS
Also I can personally vouch for another person who got banned without using cheats in val, obviously some people lie about being innocent to hopefully get away with it, but the sheer amount of such "falase-ban" cases is too big to say it's just that

The first quote is the reason we initially thought about vpn as a potantial reason, however vpns are not specifically stated as bannable (and/or abusable), and it's too popular of a service to just go "oopsie get a perma".
If using vpns are bannable, or there is a way they don't want you to use them - it absolutely should be specifically stated, since it's not a cheating software and people use it on a daily basis for various purposes, none of which have to do anything with the game
I also checked the games subreddit about it, and it was only in beta when people talked about vpns and a risk of being banned because of them, but it was only for changing regions, which is not the case on the situation we have so it wasn't helpful
(and no, in a ticked they specifically stated it was software and not boosting or account sharing, which is anyway was not the case)
I mean I not riot doesn't care, that's why only bots respond to you in their support for ban appeals (for other stuff their support is rather good), it's just to show some people they are not alone in this and to others that it's not just pesky cheaters trying to get unbanned when they are actually in a wrong.
I mean hopefully this gets resolved for everyone who's not actually guilty, but right now it seems like it has been going on for months and human contact is close to 0 (ban appeals get rewieved by bots, you are not allowed to post on official subreddits about it, and here people either write "yeah I also got banned for nothing" or "sounds like a ban well deserved")
just as they don't specify whether VPNs are bannable, the same goes for several other popular programs, such as raw acro and apps to stretch the resolution. I strongly believe that the reason they don't specify is for legal reasons to prevent people from claiming that they were banned for using something that is allowed
But even then - VPNs are too common to rule them out, and the supposed "unfair advantage" you can gain from them is on the level of modern mouse software (not counting macros). Getting perma banned for something that isn't even used to gain advantage is simply over the line, whatever way you look at it
Without a doubt, VPNs do not offer any advantages within the game, I believe that they can even worsen the quality/performance of whoever uses them, but speaking in legal terms, it is advantageous for Riot/Tencent not to specify what they allow and what they do not allow

oh yeah it very well might be, legally they often do things vaguely. However if it were to be an actual offence to use vpns - it definitely would've been a common knowledge by now
I could understand you but there is not much we can do, even though the use of VPN for years has gathered enough experience from several players to conclude that "it is safe" there will always be that user who claims that he was banned for using the same program
well it was just a speculation in the end of the day, since it's the only even remotely "suspicious" activity my friend could've had on her account. She does have obs and werewolf as well tho, and judging from other people's reports they also might be "the culprit", but only riot can actually tell
