Jos. A Banks Dress Shoes?
Hi All,
I'm standing up in a wedding for my best friend in May, and I'm in the process of getting brown dress shoes to go with my navy wedding suit (Also a new white dress shirt but not relevant here). He and his fiancee are not at all picky about what type of dress shoes- just have them be brown and look nice.
I stopped into my local Jos. A Banks and saw these shoes on clearance and thought this would be a good opportunity to ask for advice before I go back and make a purchase.
I was looking at the brown pair on the far right- is this is a good purchase? If not this/Jos. A Banks, where else should I be looking for quality brown formal dress shoes?
I'm pretty new to fashion and learning the basics still, so let me know if there's any others details I can provide!

Budget would be helpful in order to provide reasonable suggestions here
are these going to be shoes for only special occasions (once a twice a year) or were they going to be worn more frequently?
and have you tried them on to see how they feel standing (whether your size is tight or loose on the toes or sides) and walking (whether you feel discomfort)?
i personally am not a fan of the design - the seams seem really pronounced, as opposed to these from allen edmonds for example https://www.allenedmonds.com/product/mens-park-avenue-cap-toe-oxford-dress-shoe-3023014/dark-chili-leather-ec4001389

if you needed a pair of dress shoes for only once or twice a year and had no other options then sure, these are an okay pick (though it looks like they're cheaper online)
if they're for regular use i'd spring for something like allen edmonds park avenues (shoe bank has them discounted) instead, though knowing your budget would help with recs
That would be helpful- my budget is about $200 max. Only seeing myself using these a few times a year.
Then yeah those are fine, albeit ugly imo. For that budget I’d suggest looking for secondhand Allen Edmonds, or checking out Meermin and Skolyx
I'll take a look at these- thank you!
