Steam Desktop file break and I don't know how to patch it
Steam can not be run by the steam.desktop(/usr/share/applications/steam.desktop) file after the update
bazzite:stable
Intel B580
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400
anything else just work even with the Steam Big Picture Mode(/usr/share/applications/bazzite-steam-bpm.desktop) or run the steam by command
because of it I don't how to show the debug log

check if you have a local override for the desktop files in
~/.local/share/applications
I see the waydroid
so I delete it

Is there a guid that only reinstall the os part of the system with out reinstalling completely
the "os" part of the system is immutable and cant be changed, we all run the same stuff 1:1
your issue is in your home folder or in
/etc
now how can you figure out where the issue resides?
make a new user
new user have same issue? problem is in /etc
new user does not have same issue? problem is in your home directorySame with new user

and yes I mean command even work with ujust fix-rest-steam
and also work by Big Picture short cut
but not steam.desktop
steam.desktop only launches
bazzite-steam and the big picture one launches bazzite-steam -bigpicturei sadly have no idea why one works and the other does not when they both run the same thing

it ok I will take it with me I use krun to run the steam command and it work 100%
