How do I find good clothing stores around me?

First of all, I dont like buying clothes online. The sizing can go wrong and getting all the measurements and checking the size charts is tedious. So how do I find good brands in physical shops? Do you have some advice? Or is it just trial and error, going trough every men's shop? Living in Europe, a lot of the mentioned brands here don't have stores around me, most shops being just fast fashion trash.

Nothing beats first hand research. Word of mouth is best. Try smaller, local businesses and ask the staff. Thrift stores usually know a lot, too. From there, you can validate with reddit or reputable media whether videos, or good old fashion journalism.

👆 what she said Also posting here could be useful if you’re willing to give a general location there’s quite a few Europeans that probably know lots of stores.

IMO an important step is figuring out what you're looking for. Locally you'll likely find shops for athleisure, business casual, more traditional menswear, etc.
You can always make a list of brands you find or take pics of items you like and do extra research online, but having a sense of what youre looking for will provide direction

This is a very good strategy, some of the coolest shops I’ve been to have been found by checking who stocks brands I like

The English speaking internet is going to be a very poor resource for finding good brands/retailers in Romania unfortunately, especially if you're not in Bucharest. So the above tips around word of mouth and looking for stockists of brands you like might work.

Yeah, that is true, but the English internet offers way more variety than my native internet. The amount of inspo and tips is uncomparable. Anyways thanks for your suggestion!
