Ray Optics, lateral shift through slab
I got as far as
shift = h sinr/cosr
, i.e. the first step in the second pic. But what is going on with i-r
lol how did the last step happen

@Gyro Gearloose
u not giving ayjr?
nhi, completing like 3 different test analyses today
already packed
besides, i heard it wasnt that relevant last time
man why do it next time
its not abt relavancy
its about enviroment
give the evening one
perhaps
1 lakh+ students giving it this time
im already doing 2025 PYPs as mocks
i dont see the point
genuinely what is unique
the number of students
it will give u reality check
2025 pyps had 14 lakh students lol i just look up my marks vs percentile
that wont do shit
in exam the pressure is on diff level
silly mistakes sky rocket
yeah i know thats my main struggle even in PYPs
what is unique
i mean if u think this is better then do it
no like i genuinely wanna know
thoda FOMO ho rha hai par like
what do people find unique in ayjr
man students give , u can gaslight ur self into getting pressured
nothing is unique math is a bit good
thats it
i guess sure
anyway koi doubt toh answer kardo
do you want me to send the derivation or give you a hint on how to do it
hint
im eating brb
ok so after drawing the diagram trace the incident ray without refraction and you can see that there will a triangle with angles 90 and i-r in that you can get one relation from there
other one from the triangle with 90 and r angles
ah yes got it
i thought lateral shift was along the direction of the side
i was calculating the wrong shift
thank u
