bazzite-dx planning

I'm planning to switch to bazzite-dx with nvidia drivers, replacing my current bazzite install. Are there any recommendations for what I can do now to a relatively(*) simple bazzite install to make the process cleaner and the result more best-practices/canonical for a -dx setup (for example, I currently dev out of a traditional git repo), or should I just do a wipe and reinstall?
It'd be nice to not lose my KDE setup, but it's not a horrible thing if I have to recreate it from scratch. Perhaps someone knows a script that can archive/restore the current KDE settings? I'm not familiar enough to know where everything may be stashed, and I don't have the XP to have built up a dotfiles repository, though this may be the time to set one up. (*) I have enpass as a layered package since it's difficult otherwise, and have used flatseal to tweak Firefox to play nicely with it. I also set up the steam hack to swallow steam's continuous wake signals to permit the screen to sleep, and I have a piece of software that currently lives in an ubuntu distrobox which looks like it may be available as a nix package. I think I saw that bazzite-dx includes the nixpkg installer?
Solution:
just rebase to dx image and you good to go don't forget to remove layered package and re add it again after rebasing...
