Forza Horizon 4 refuses to run after switching to Proton GE

Update: So there is info that you should launch with
gamemoderun %command% once you change the Proton, but for now I reinstalled the game and trying to launch again8 Replies
so don't use GE? Try Proton Experimental
Tried, it stopped launching anymore
Switched back to Proton 9.0, same problem
I don't really understand why it stopped working at all
sometimes updates break things, that's how life is with linux gaming
at least from a week ago proton 9.0-4 kinda works as per protondb
i just remember playing in on experimental without issues
Hmm interesting, so I guess Proton GE is not working properly
And just causing crash on every launch
