Bazzite on my Deck OLED boots at max volume. It also maxes out the volume when plugging in my IEMs.

can provide further info if needed if this is something that cannot be fixed, or you guys can't realistically do it it, that's cool. but i don't want myself or someone i know to use my steam deck and go deaf when they plug in headphones lol so i need to move back to steamos

I can reproduce this. This happens all the time when plugging in my IEMs, and rebooting the deck. I have the 512 OLED, been having this problem since I installed bazzite. No updates have fixed it as of yet. It seemed to be fixed for a little while on reboots, where the volume level was properly remembered, but it's been happening again, consistently, as of late

fyi i also experience this from time to time on LCD deck, max vol upon boot & fixed by pressing the vol buttons. not always happening though. other occasions sound would be completely missing unless i go into desktop mode and back into gaming mode

Seems that the max volume on boot was fixed for me? Dunno. Intermittent problems are the worst

yeah, the fact that 3 times out of 10 my ears get blown out kinda sucked. moved back to steamos to fix it
