What fundamental pieces should I add to outfits of this style (Elevated-ish (and korean?) Streetwear

It definitely is a more "elevated" streetwear, but I feel there is something fundamental missing. It definitely does look similar to korean streetwear (well almost exactly tbh i didnt know it was a thing until now) (photo not me) It consists of: Straight black dress pants Only straight leg pants Black belt White Jordans Light gold chain and bracelet, ring Colors: Navy Chocolate Brown Black White Olive Green Dark Burnt Orange Layering, contrast between black and white. A lot of crewneck sweaters and jackets No brand names Black crossbody bag

none are me my style is just rotating sweaters/hoodies with similar colors, and layering on a black bomber jacket if needed the fit is fresh but its boring and i need more statement pieces that i could wear with almost anything (was also thinking maybe white stripes on the sides of the legs) do need to get a bag tho

Why do you say something fundamental is missing? Any inspiration on the statement piece?

I would look for more inspo and see if there's any inspo that has consistent statement ish pieces coming across, the nature of a louder statement piece is its going to be a bit more situational in styling and also more personal to you.

I don’t mind the basic minimalist look I think it looks good If anything I think the shoes are bringing things down, they’re very white I would probably do something more beige and less new balance-y (feels like very southern prep shoe) A tiger type silhouette would work really well

oh the photos arent me but i wear white jordans something like a jacket to layer on with it i match it with layering white layers like underneath t shirt/other things

ok I think when you say fundamental it's slightly confusing because it depends on what look/inspo you're trying to achieve. i'll throw out one easy idea, a long coat like a trench or mac in spring/summer, overcoat in fall/winter easily gives you different proportions if you are bored of your current ones close to impossible to layer incorrectly as you just throw it over most outfits you have I wouldn't call it a statement piece, but I do think it adds a lot more interest to outfits without being a build around piece like oman said, the louder and more interesting the piece is, its more likely you'll have to build the outfit around it rather than try to make it work with all your current outfits

i need it LOUD and proud this is loud-ish which i like its eye catching

Ok it feels contradictory to what you posted in the beginning so maybe if you include other inspiration pictures, it could help narrow down suggestions

its really hard to explain so it'll take me an entire hour to find what im lookin for just a very unique and bold twist on a normal sweater or something gay ass club outfit idfk maybe a sheer top just something outside of normal fashion norms without it being too feminine

given this thread https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1351660816029712518 it feels like you want to stand out in some way but not in too bold of a way such that you'll be deemed feminine or criticized for your physique. people are going to judge you regardless, especially on the internet and especially for daring to wear something beyond basic clothes you see on tiktok- you've got to decide 1) if that's important to you and 2) how you respond to that. and while it may be frustrating that there's no concrete answer like "oh throw on this giant cropped bomber from d.squares" "oh wear an ann d [it's too early for me to try and spell it out] holey sweater" the truth is there's a very large number of ways to dress outside the typical mode without being considered "feminine" (also why is being feminine a bad thing??? gotta challenge that imo) narrowing exactly what you like, what your tolerance is for dressing "outside the norms of fashion" will help considerably; to that end check #waywt or #inspiration or online (@eyecmag is good for this) to see what is out there and what you like. maybe it's the giant cuts of comme des garcons or the angular cuts of issey miyake. maybe it's the depth of yohji yamamoto or the edginess of rick owens. maybe it's something else - it's an answer relatively unique to you. lowest-hanging fruit: search in #waywt for fits from users including smiles, chopper, Billiam's PC, Blo, chicago beef, De La Joel, BlueEyes1, damb, fauxhemian, casey, char (charm), Yevhen, TheComebackKid, tman916, Mosh, Spuck amongst others brands like braindead, sacai, needles hd, diesel, acne studios, martine rose, ss daley, and marni have interesting knits/pieces that aren't too far off the beaten path see if anything in those posters fits or those brands lookbooks/stores seem interesting to you, collect pictures and make a thread asking for more info (comparable items for less than [$x] or available in [y], vibe checks, experiences, what to wear with them etc). people are willing to help, it's just easier to do so when there's some idea of what you ultimately want

these are all pretty basic outfits but i like them i especially like bags around the shoulder and black and white air jordans and straight leg pants those are subtle because they are really interesting shoes and not many men wear bags really like the burnt orange going with the dark brown pants in the first photo i just want really rich, deep, saturated colors, with bold designs im sorry if this doesnt make sense but ill find it on my own

you probably want lemaire then or cos if you're on a budget they have saturated colors, goofy bags, more interesting shaped jackets (since most menswear is typically designed to be close to the body) and usually more interesting shoes though you can probably wear sneakers or stuff too

scott fraser collection and casablanca are bolder and considerably more expensive but achieve the same result - bold colored shirts to wear under tank tops with jewlery, big pants and sneakers
