Black Screen On Startup

AMD CPU + GPU. GNOME DE. Worked fine for ~2 months (was actually on BlueFin) until about 2-3 weeks ago, after boot would simply hang. Control+Alt F2/F3 and various permutations had no effect. We eventually using an older ostree which worked fine. We decided to try a fresh Bazzite install now that it's been a few weeks. Even the install live USB now has this issue. If i go to Troubleshooting > Install with low graphics then it will procede for some period of time before having an "unknown error". The stack trace is quite long but it has to do with a "Unknown Device Error" when handling a payload. We attempted to do it again with the WiFi disabled but encountered the same error at appox the same time. Did a search for black screen and noticed that most recent issues appear to be with NVidia, but this is an AMD card. Also tried to edit my grub boot option with a noacpi which didn't change anything noticeable.

I mean I don't know what GPU it is, but , You might want to consider it being a hardware issue. Probably an issue with the SSD? Who knows I would test that first. If not then most likely your RAM.

plus does it consistently work on the older version? also what version is that? if it works on the old version even now, its probably something with bazzite instead of a hardware fault

What AMD card is this? if it is one of the brand new 9070XTs let me tell you Bazzite does not have the required Kernel version just yet, we need to wait a couple of weeks.
