Random stutter/short system freezes on new install
Specs:
Asus ROG Strix G17 Laptop
nvidia GTX 4070
AMD Ryzen 9 7940HX
Dual boot, separate drive install
Hi Bazzite team,
I'm still very new to Linux in general, the last time I used it was trying to configure an install of Mint on an old win10 tablet PC and sorting out a multitude of issues to get it running decently.
I just installed Bazzite onto a new laptop on a separate drive, so dual booting is working fine. The OS works fine for the most part after the post-install setup, but there seems to be constant and randomly occurring stutters or short system freezes/hanging. There are no specifics on what I think seems to be causing it, from just moving the mouse around to browsing Steam to navigating the PC to a short test in random video games, it just sometimes pauses the entire system between a couple of seconds to a minute. I have updated after the initial install through the terminal and the ujust command.
The only thing I can assume is that its the nvidia graphics card and its drivers as I am aware of the whole Linux and nvidia drivers situation.
I appreciate any sort of support on this issue.
By this point in time, I am also rather curious as to what could be causing it.
As a sidenote, the brightness control for the display does not seem to be working, but I read that it is a known issue.
