Slow NVMe Speeds (PCIe 4.0 Downgraded to 3.0) Compared to Windows 11 – WD SN850X & Kingston

Hey all, I'm experiencing performance issues with my NVMe drive, where it's not reaching the expected speeds compared to my Windows 11 setup. My max read/write speeds are capped at less than 4Gbps, which is lower than expected. Additionally, I've observed that the drive is being downgraded from PCIe 4.0 to PCIe 3.0 on Linux, as indicated by the terminal output. I've been attempting to resolve this and unlock the drive's full PCIe 4.0 capabilities, but the issue persists.

I never really bothered with it, but I have untypically slow speeds too.

As a reference, I do have the same WD drive, and it is much faster than yours

Resolved the issue—seems that Linux (or Bazzite) was incompatible with the motherboard BIOS PCIe speed set to 'Auto.' I had to manually configure it to Gen 5/Gen 4 to achieve the expected speeds.
