Bazzite - For Honor - Ubisoft Connect
Hello, I just switched from Windows 10, as the support is near the end, now I am trying Bazzite, I have one problem with game - For Honor - can anyone tell me how to make it work? It is not bought on Steam
Yesterday I tried Mint and Nobara
I am somewhat knowledgable about Proton, Bottles, Lutris, but still couldnt find a way to make it work.
Thank you very much

lutris is your best bet, i cannot help you past that as i only have my games on steam so i dont use lutris
I tried Lutris - I installed Ubisoft Connect, started, installed the game and then turned on and then the game turned itself off. I tried to change runner from wine-ge to GE-Proton, still the same luck
have you checked protondb to see if it runs at all on linux? just asking
checked, and few months back I even heard from people it works, but those had Steam versions, which from what I found is easier to just play
according to kyle this is the wrong way to do it
you click the + or add game, search for the game and press install and lutris will handle the rest
If I do that through Lutris like that, it will launch Uplay with the "cant be activated right now"
then i dont know sadly as thats the only thing i have seen kyle explain to people
ubisoft when you buy a game not on steam is not very linux friendly
heck they arent very linux friendly on steam versions either, but valve at least tries to fix ubisofts crap launcher
Oh man, I hope somebody will be able to help, that really is one hell of important part of my multiplayer gaming, but I really dont want to go Windows 11 later this year just because of that..
Groves did you ever figure this out? Also, what are the specs of your PC? Maybe you can get away with running windows VM if your pc has enough power to do so? I bought the game on steam to test and when I try to launch there it says that Uplay install is not detected, and supposedly that problem extends to windows as well. Gotta love that AAAA company experience!
