Torn between size 40 and 42 for this Baracuta G9
I'm interested in this beams x baracuta release, not sure how a Harrington jacket should fit
Should I go smaller or larger
I've attached pics of the measurements, I'm mostly looking at pit to pit
Size 40 has a 24 in pit to pit which is like a US L
I've attached a jacket that is 24in pit to pit so you can see how it looks on me

24" pit to pit is 61 cm; i would go with the large (maybe even xl?)
while harringtons are meant to be tight and cropped, if you intend to wear any layers underneath (sweater, overshirt, etc.) you'll want the extra room for range of motion
I have this paranoia that because it's Japanese, Large doesn't mean what I want it to mean lol
japanese alpha sizing can vary wildly from us/eu sizing pretty significantly to my horror :xd:
it's always best to use the measurements of the clothes (and compared to something else that fits well) rather than the letter/numeric sizing
It's honestly unreal how it can widely vary - even in the same brand lmao
I think 24 inches pit to pit is what I'm going to go for
In the pic with the quilted barbour which is also 24 in pit to pit, I think it already looks slightly relaxed fit on me
barbours are meant to be slightly boxy to accommodate the layers to wear underneath
if you want a slimmer fit or aren't layering (and the sleeve length isn't an issue) get the 40, otherwise get the 42. whatever bulk from sizing is probably going to be offset by the ribbed hem.
If you end up getting one - would appreciate it if you could mention the custom/ duties charged for delivery to Canada. I like that this one is 100% cotton - might look to replace the Ben Sherman one I have.
Will do my Canadian brotha
Can I compare the measurements to a trucker jacket that I have or is that not a good comparison based on jacket styles
Thank you, appreciate it!
