PC vs console
I've been a console player all my life, but over time I've collected some games that I'd prefer to play on a pc if I had one, because I bet they'd look and play so much better/smoother; RDR2 comes to mind, Death Stranding, Stray, and now I also think PZ would perform way better on a pc. I'm already getting some stuttering on my PS5 and my zoo isn't even 25% done.
Would a game like PZ (and similar sandbox-y games) need a particularly powerful pc, or would any general set-up do? What are the most crucial "under-the-hood" tech processes in a gaming pc for smooth experiences (frame rate, resolution, lag?) and what top-tier parts would I need?
Some of this is probably on Google as well but I thought maybe y'all on pc can get me some first pointers.
Also, I'm a tech illiterate so please talk to me like I'm a 5-year old. :thankyou: :hearthands:

a pc is definitely better for pz, i have a laptop with decent stuff. it runs pz smoothly. generally, a mid to high end pc would be definitely recommended. i have a ryzen amd 760, 64 gb ram and a 4050 which runs the game smooth as butter
I have a PC and a console, and I have Planet Zoo on both.
The console version took years to reach the platform, and it also comes with a major disadvantage: the build limit (since exceeding the console limit doesn't guarantee the game will run properly). On the other hand, consoles are much cheaper than a good PC.
With a good PC, the more money you invest, the more likely you are to run any game on ultra and at much higher FPS than the console. The only disadvantage is a much larger initial investment.
