Steam Virtual Keyboard not displaying at 100% height on dasktop mode

About a day ago Steam Virtual Keyboard stopped showing at full height when launched on the desktop mode, as shown in the video & screenshots below. It's functional of course, but I'm puzzled as to how/why this might have happened and how to fix. It's displaying normally on gaming mode. I haven't really done anything with my Deck, only the usual gaming mode to play <> desktop mode for file management switch. Scaling is at 100%, this is without a second monitor attached, running the latest stable deck image (41.20250301.1).
Solution:
Solved! The fix was to disable BPM automatic scaling and set it to deck scaling. My god that was stressful

Ah, I spoke too soon. The setting reverts after switching to gaming mode and back to desktop mode again. Manually launching BPM fixes the issue, but it's a hassle to do every single time. Will look for potential solutions.

I'm switching back to windows because of the keyboard issues, mine doesn't even work most of the time or covers most of the screen, anyone know a work around?

What device are you on and what exactly are you experiencing? Is it like zoomed in too much?

I'm using a Lenovo legion go 8.8 and sometimes it is, other times when I go to desktop mode and try to use the keyboard, it puts a small one right in the middle of the screen or doesn't pop up most of the time. I so want to use this because New World gets 10 to 15 fps more on high than it doesn't on low on windows with the default setup.

The zoomed in issue is typically caused by display scaling, the others i'm not sure tbh

current workaround is set legacy x11 application to scaled by the system in display configuration. though that will make steam or some other app a bit bluury

not an exposed setting in gnome, but i'll try to play around with xwayland-native-scaling for now i dont mind opening BPM and minimizing/BPM immediately, since it fixes it in desktop mode until i i exit the desktop session
