Ptyxis / Konsole audible bell doesn't play

Trying to get system sounds working in KDE, they never have. They're 100% in the sound mixer, audible bell is on in accessibility options, there's no difference with ocean or freedesktop sounds and the enable notification sounds checkbox is checked. Bell is enabled in ptyxis and I've tried other terminals, do not disturb is not on....I don't know what else to check.

I've also tried disabling audio devices other than the dac I use This is on the deck image as this also serves as a part-time htpc, if that's the issue

I thought it might be a latency thing but presumably the preview working rules that out? Okay, so if I enable audio feedback for changes to volume, that seems to work so it isn't all system sounds, but is definitely the system bell and if there's supposed to be a sound for screenshots. I don't think login sounds work either, lemme check that with a relog Okay, that seems to work if I have a sound theme that supports it. Seems like it's mostly the system bell so I'm not getting the sounds on backspace in terminal or notifications. I saw people mentioning sounds on screenshot but I've never had it working so I'm not sure if I'm missing something there. I'm pretty much out of things I can think of to try, though I can work around it with setting a bell sound manually in konsole if it has the pulseaudio flatpak permission (the symlink bell.oga doesn't work, so I have to pick bell-window-system.oga or whatever) but ptyxis completely ignores the setting. If konsole is set to "system bell" nothing plays either, I'm guessing that's a flatpak issue?
