Advice on the fit?

I was trying to put together like a relatively casual but dressy kinda fit. This looks a but odd together, but I like the individual things. Not too sure about untucked or tucked also. But I think both look a bit weird.

I thought about half tucked. But that kinda looks a bit weird too

Definitely don’t half tuck I think the overshirt and the tee being the same color is throwing me off. If you had something that could contrast or complement the white and navy you’re already wearing, that would be more visually interesting to me. Wearing cargo trousers with dangling drawstrings puts this in definitively casual territory to me. And the trousers don’t look like they fit you very well—they are draping at an odd angle even when you’re standing up straight.

Oh fr? Kinda a shame. I really like these ones. Imma still wear em tho. I paid too much lol. Not too sure what to wear with em now tho.

Yeah if you like em you should wear them. Just know that they’re very casual pants. I think you can wear them with what you have on. It looks fine. But if you could switch the overshirt or the tee shirt out for something in a different complementary color I think it would really pull things together. Grey would work, as would most browns, or light blue if you want something tonal.

Yeah. That's a good idea. I'll play around with it. What do you reckon about the tucked/untucked.? I think untucked look better personally.

I think both are fine, although if you’re tucking I would tuck that dangling piece of white fabric into the pants. Whatever you do, don’t half tuck.

Aight. Sweet. Thanks heaps for all the help.

No problem, anytime. Others here may disagree with me fwiw.

Yeah for sure, it's just nice to get a second opinion anyways. Plus I agree with pretty much everything you say, just takes someone to point it out I think

It looks to me like you're wearing the pants too high. If you lowered them an inch, that might help them not look like they fit weird.

yea tug the pants down a little and it'll fix the shortened torso/cropped pant situation the pants may just be too small tho so idk also agree that this is clearly verrry casual, unless most people around you are t-shirt and shorts type ppl

Short sleeved shirt open over tee reads very casual, tough to make that more dressed up casual from just details

Hi all, first sorry for the late reply. I've been out of power for about 4 days and only just got 91 for the genny. And thanks for your replies. Yeah fair. I mean in brisbane everyone pretty much wears shorts and t shirt everyday all year round. So any long pants (other than trackies maybe), are considered a little bit dressy haha. At least to me, might be different for some others tho. Yeah maybe, but it's so hard to get pants that fit tho. They're either too tight around the thigh, too short, the waist is too big or some combination of them. The joys of being weirdly proportioned.
