Unable to install anything using discover
"While downloading http://ciscobinary.openh264.org/libopenh264-2.4.1-linux64.7.so.bz2: Server returned status 404"
this happened while trying to install discord using discover. does anyone know anything I can do

If I have issues with discover, I just go to https://flathub.org, search for what I want to install. Select the little down arrow on the install button and paste the install script into the terminal (
flatpak install flathub com.discordapp.Discord in this case). That way even if discover isn't working I can still install software. Or if there is an error I can get a much more useful error than anything that pops up in the Discover store.
try using a different network connection, like mobile data tethering or something. vpn could work too. openh264 does that all the time (as in, fails to download) on my end and the only fix is changing networks to download that one package
