The problem with the Rog Ally is it uses a different SSD to the one that you'll have in your computer. e.g. it looks like this

You could do a fresh install and copy over your home folder from your desktop though if you want to copy over your settings and games etc. I usually do that via ssh
Oh i got it but if i had a 2230 ssd on my pc
Would it work?
only if you install the bazzite-deck or bazzite-gnome-deck version
and make sure during install you only have that ssd selected
then once you have booted the system once you need to
sudo rm /etc/bazzite/hw_version
to trigger a reconfiguration on the next boot since you swapped completely different hardwareOh i got it thanks bro
but the deck version will have to be able to run on your machine though
unless you do just the installer and never boot into it before moving the ssd to the ally
then you dont need to remove the hw_version file since the hardware setup will run on first boot
Hey i was trying to use this command but it says that this archive doesn't exist
there is no archive, the command just removes 1 file which then triggers a hardware setup re-run on next boot
which i explained
Oh my bad i got it
But now it doesn't recognize the rog Ally start and select buttons and in desktop mode it doesn't recognize joysticks as mouse
reboot, if it still doesnt work, make sure hhd is running
