Update Issue Fix
Big thanks to @junimo for the information on how to fix this issue.
- Download the file attached and run with administrator cmd.exe like this:
(if you click directly it just uninstalls vanguard, use the command line to install,use administrator cmd.exe and run it like this
C:\Users\user\Downloads\setup_49.exe --install)
Ensure that <user> is replaced with your own username
- It should do a silent install, after like a minute go to C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard folder and confirm vgk.sys file version is 1.17.1.49 instead of 1.17.1.47
After this, close the Riot client and restart it.

2.] Open command prompt as an administrator.
3.] Type in command C:\Users{Your username}\Downloads\setup_49.exe —install
4.] Hit enter
5.] Now restart your pc/laptop
6.] Open Valorant and check if the error still occurs

The issue is with the client itself, reinstalling isn’t going to fix it

Just download the file and follow the steps and it’ll patch the client and allow you to update
