Removing Sweater Shoulder Bumps
I went thrifting and got this really nice purple sweater. However, it was hung just like any other shirt, and as a result has the 'shoulder nipples.' I understand that the common recommendation is to mist them with water, but the sweater is 75% silk.
I have never worn or cared for silk garments before, so I don't know what the right or wrong things to do are- and the internet was not very helpful.

1. don't hang knits, fold them this is why
2. If its not that bad I may try just wearing and storing it folded and seeing if the knit relaxes back into the original shape
3. water shouldn't do any damage silk isn't gonna melt just from contact with a bit of water.
yeah id handwash before wearing and lay flat to dry, especially with it coming from the thrift.
yeah handwash with soap made for natural fibers and u should be good
thanks, I appreciate the help. The bumps are pretty big. I didn't know there were specific soaps for natural fibers, I'll look into that
