computer fps lower than monitor refresh rate
my computer fps avgs 400-600 fps but my monitor refresh rate is capped at 600 fps, should I cap my monitor refresh rate to 400 or leave it at 600? worried there would be some input lag if my computer fps is lower than my refresh rate

I usually run valorant at my monitors refresh rate.
Then no need to cap
You could upgrade your CPU to push it over the monitor refresh rate. If you do have a 600hz display, that should be a light lift.
FWIW, a 9800X3D can pull around 800fps on average.
I have a 9950X and only pull ~500 fps on avg, any way to increase my fps?
I think the 3d vcache in an x3d has an impact. I'm usually at 700-800 fps and I'm not doing anything to overclock. 1000fps in the range.
You could try checking your temperatures while playing. If they're at the thermal limit, you could try undervolting a little.
