Help setting partitions for bazzite across two SSDs

I am coming from Linux Mint and my previous setup was a 150 GiB partition for mount point "/" and a 750 GiB partition for "/home/" on a different nvme SSD. The setup instructions for dual boot perplex me. I have never dealt with brtfs. So I have been stuck wondering how to do this since my setup doesn't use one single drive (windows is already taking up 250GiB on the 1TB 980evo) How can I create a similar structure? I am trying to follow the dual boot setup guide and it asks me to create a large btrfs volume to turn into subvolumes but I have no idea how this is handled across the drives. I can get up to setting up the boot mount point (1 GiB ext4) and /boot/efi (300MiB) but when I see how the webpage talks about doing the sub volumes etc I am very much stumped. Is it even possible? Does /var/ live in the same drive as root in my case then /var/home/ goes on the larger partition on my 4 TiB nvme?? (In which case how big does /var/ need to be?)
