to close the thread when your doubt is solved. Mention the users who helped you solve the doubt. This will be added to their stats.mode is clearly 160
median is 22nd term i.e 155
for mean i used mode= 3 median - 2 mean somehow this doesnt give correct mean
this is what you get by mean

while I do agree yes there's a formula for relation between mean median and mode it's not usually used when it's asked separately
you should just use the formula when they gave only 2 values of median mean and mode and ask you to find the last one
Mathematics Stack Exchange
Empirical Relationship between mean, median and mode.(Derivation)
How did we get the Empirical Formula?
This formula has been etched into us in school but I want to know how this formula came about and to know if it's applicable for all statistical distributions...
its an approximation and doesnt work everywhere
hence the term 'empirical relation'
oh there's a derivation
It gives an approximation (empirical formula) not an exact answer. Useful to discard wrong options but not good in case of NAT questions
So you gotta find mean using one of the three known methods:- Direct, Assumed Mean, or Step Deviation
majduri problem
thanx everyone
