2nd method I used partial fractions
they are not, in fact, equal
when in doubt check desmos.com

found your mistake
in the first method, its not
x-a/x+a
its x + 3/2 - a / x + 3/2 + a
replace x
with x+3/2
, because thats the term you have in the bracketAhh yes thank you bhai
