was thinking to use it for transitional seasons, maybe in winter with a liner on

Totally. The Gibson Buzz Rickson stuff is great
I have an m-51 parka from MR that i wear for 3/4 seasons in the year
Its a really easy piece to wear and its really diverse
Ik buzz is incredible quality wise so i say yeah its a good pickup
