Change account e-mail (unverified email)

I registered a domain through cloudflare a few years ago. I made some e-mail adresses in google with the associated domain and I used the domain e-mail as the account for Cloudflare. In the meantime, the business kinda stopped activity and we stopped using google so the e-mail address is inaccessable. But now the guy who originally started it wants me to transfer the domain back to him because he wants to start it up again. However, the email shows as "unverified" in cloudflare and there's no way for me to either verify it (since I can't access the mailbox) or take any action (since the e-mail adress isn't verified). Is there any way to resolve this? Can I either change the email address associated with the account to my regular (non-domain) email address? Or can the verified flag be toggled? All I want to do is get access to the transfer codes so I can transfer the domain and be done with it.

Are you unable to change the email address?

Yeah, it says I need to verify my email first. So I can enter the new e-mail and password but when I press "Save" I get a red pop-up at the bottom that tells me "Please verify your e-mail".

well, in that case I think you'll have to create a support ticket ?support

yeah great, so I follow up through the email that I cannot access? The entire issue is that it's a recursive loop. I cannot access the email to verify my account -> I cannot change any account settings -> I cannot update my email address or the domain settings (to point the email to another mailbox) If I want to contact customer support it goes through the email that I cannot access

Just message them on another account you can access explaining the situation. But you might struggle to verify ownership of the original email and therefore the account which may be a problem
