how to distinguish between but-1yne and but 2 yne this is from hydrocarbons ncert 11th , so need answers without tollens reagent or any other 12th stuff

from what i understand we can add Na and NaNH2 in but 1 yne terminal H will be replaced cant figure out what happens in but 2 yne

Just add ammoniacal cuprous chloride. Red ppt means acidic proton.

nothing because it doesnt have acidic hydrogen thats how u differentiate 1 yne responds and 2yne doesnt but yea the ammonical cuprous chloride gives colour so u can differentiat
