how to distinguish between but-1yne and but 2 yne
this is from hydrocarbons ncert 11th , so need answers without tollens reagent or any other 12th stuff

in but 1 yne terminal H will be replaced

Just add ammoniacal cuprous chloride. Red ppt means acidic proton.
school exam mein sir wont accept that , gotta stick to whats taught in hydrocarbons for now

nothing because it doesnt have acidic hydrogen
thats how u differentiate

but yea the ammonical cuprous chloride gives colour so u can differentiat
