val freezing whole pc very often - need help
i haven't had any issues before, but suddenly when i hopped on today, i just kept freezing a LOT, i've searched on yt, reinstalled val and riot client 2 or 3 times, i've messed around with settings.
at one point val didn't even open, it was just stuck on the loading screen before the actual lobby.
now i can play val but i keep freezing, any solutions?

the part about installing the last patch and THEN i started freezing is the same for me
but otherwise the ''sounds'' and stuff like that doesnt happen

val just freezes randomly, causing my whole pc to freeze

and it just didn't load up to the lobby
val usually takes quite a bit of my cpu percentage, but it just took 0.3%
it didn't even let me tab into the game
first time this happened was in the lobby

i mean i got -83 once
which was just reinstall val and client
and i did that
then it didnt work for a while
now im in val
but it still freezes, so idk what to do rlly

It looks like you aren't the only player experencing this issue at the moment. Did you get any other errors like graphic errors while it crashed?
it never crashes
it just freezes then unfreezes
i can barely go a round without frrezing at least once

no, but i haven't had any problems at all ever until now

There's no way it should be freezing with 300 FPS

not at all
i have opera yes, but when i found out i was freezing, i put cpu usage at minimum
or wtv
then, the first game i did today, aka when i started freezing for the first time
i had to literally restart my pc cuz i froze for 3 rounds
and i didn't start opera after that
i still froze consistently

i haven't had problems with my internet ever, unless it's a problem at my internet provider's end

only thing i had running in the background during this swiftplay was discord, opera with minimum cpu usage, file explorer and umm

which takes practically nothing on my pc

If this doesn't work, I can suggest that you submit a support ticket, which you can upload your client logs so they can see what the issue is.

one of them even has a pc that's slightly worse than mine and is also not experiencing it somehow

oh and here's a weird thing, if i freeze with the menu up i can still move my mouse
but i cant do anything regardless
and the only sound that plays is that one sound when your pc bluescreens
where it like repeats the last moment of the sound you last heard infinitely

@Law can you run msinfo32 and take a screenshot? Also when your pc freezes, does it show a bluescreen? Also what’s your riot id? If possible please zip up your vanguard log folder and upload it here or dm to me

I also have this same issue, windows 11 not 10. Freezes completely after new patch, everything on my pc including my music. I tab out everything works again, tab back in and less than 2 minutes later freezes again.
I've been in and out for 2 hours trying to fix it and I'm losing my marbles

i think this is worth mentioning but when i freeze, i keep moving in the direction of what i was holding before the freeze. sometimes it seems like i go to places i can't go with just holding these buttons so yea
