Proton is stuck on QWERTY

This isn't a Bazzite specific issue but it does happen here too and I am yet to find a working solution to this issue. I'm using Portal Revolution running with Proton Hotfix as an example. I use the AZERTY keyboard layout but my system is entirely in English. I also have QWERTY set as a secondary layout. Any proton game I run will always default to QWERTY for INPUTS. I'm emphasizing INPUTS because that's not the case for just writing text. For example; by doing "setxkbmap fr" in the terminal, any text I write in a game running proton will be using AZERTY. But the individual inputs in the options menu for binds will still act as if it's in QWERTY. This does not happen on games running natively. If you're confused, see the included screenshots. Any ideas are welcome :) (running Bazzite 41 with KDE btw)
