Fit Dr: general feedback and shoe suggestions

Looking for shoe suggestions and general feedback. I feel like some shoes (white Adidas sneakers and tan leather converses) in my rotation are really weak. I am fairly tempted by some form of black leather footwear ngl Some recent fits I liked (they're composed of the same pieces ngl)

I dont like the white adidas as much for your style, but I'm not opposed to the converse. That said, maybe the coverse fit in a little less to the inspo you posted (although again not entirely) One thing I'm noticing in your inspo is barrel leg/balloon leg pants where most of your outfits are in wide-straight legs I think a black leather shoe could do great in this style. Either of the ones you posted are great. If you want additional recs I'm happy to post some that might work with what you're thinking many of the jackets (or at least how your posing them) are sitting very flush against your body, whereas the ones you posted in the inspo have more texture and chunkiness on the body

That's a good shout, I've put off searching for them since Anglan is really expensive/hard to get in the UK
Shrimp
Shrimp•5d ago
Its the same way in the US and 90% of my pants are anglan 😭 there are also other brands, but nothing nearly as cheap

SaltbenderOP•5d ago
I'll gladly take your recs for ~£250 ish (secondhand ok), those 2 I've posted are £500+ and theyre both sold out lmao Yeah I think my top textures/silhuottes arent hitting quite right either

I should be clear that I really like what you're doing already, they just arent the same as the inspo and the 4th pic with the scarf is highlighting that because that one is giving you more shape

I've actually tried their camion looking shoes

they look great on you thats the trouble haha. price makes things really difficult for leather shoes. I could see you working in leather loafers which would be much cheaper. Let me see if I can think of anything I can link you to around that price I think my other #1 lookout would be Lemaire Piped Loafers used
WieDelphine
WieDelphine•5d ago
some of the earlier ones show up on depop vinted etc for around 100
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
Yeah I think a less chunky loafer could work well While my paraboots have a chunkier silhuotte I'll keep an eye out for them, thank you I'm actually not sure what's the preferred site for used luxury in the UK, I've definitely seen people try to sell lemaire fakes, and lemaire items feel somewhat rare on vinted

maybe even a mary jane if you don't mind a slight feminine

Feeling some black shoes for you Looking at your inspo Leather low tops with laces I think I’d go with 1 out of the options here but idk if it’s perfect

I’d lean towards a round toe loafer or derby here personally over a Mary Jane

I'll fight you I think they're both good haha or rather all 3

Slightly out of left field but this caught my eye?

It’s basically the same toe box in all 10 of the inspo fits and only one of them is a Mary Jane All I’m saying is
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
Sold out lmao and way out of budget 😓 I think round toe is a good description, I don't think I want moccasin hand sewn types I'll have to give them a go and try em in person I think
adaptation
adaptation•5d ago
Because this shape kind of slots into /is already in almost all of the inspo/your fits that you liked recently
Shrimp
Shrimp•5d ago
actually I'm starting to see where adapt is right about the laces
adaptation
adaptation•5d ago
Not gonna keep academically disagreeing with shrimp but I feel like a lot of these recs are a little daintier/ smaller than the stuff in your inspo- if you end up going in that direction I’m sure you could do it but it’s not what I’m seeing here
Shrimp
Shrimp•5d ago
although it costs nothing to try things on adapt is correct
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
Im actually not super sure on the soles, just looking at the shoes themselves
adaptation
adaptation•5d ago
Okay that makes sense I was mostly thinking about the upper/ toe specifically
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
But I think they look good when worn with pants and a fit
adaptation
adaptation•5d ago
Every derby in my search history is a thousand dollars and has weird details so I was struggling for a good reference material I think round toe, small sole- this comes up a lot in the inspo as well
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
I think I find the side silhuotte of the sole and the heel appealing too I appreciate you going through them regardless

adaptation•5d ago
These seems right in the area for the laceless option

I think something like this could be in play as well

this man can sniff out round toes from 2000 yards if the build quality is good, this is a steal. Never heard of the company though I'd do some research
adaptation
adaptation•5d ago
I’d be a little surprised if it was good but it’s helpful as a reference because the shape is A1

I’m not enough of a shoe knower to tell salty where to look so instead I’m trying really to nail down what the shape is and have someone else do the rest of my work

I think they're dupes of guidis
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
They don't mention the og model on this one lol :nooooo:
Shrimp
Shrimp•5d ago
although they have a slimmer profile than most guidis nothing specific is coming up on google lens which at least makes it slightly ethical maybe salt, did we give you enough feedback on your actual fits btw? i feel like we got sidetracked with the shoes
Saltbender
SaltbenderOP•5d ago
Err I think I could use more ideas around the tops Yeah kinda mentally debated whether they deserve their own thread I think my other concern with balloon pants is that the fits feel too bottom heavy, as in not enough visual interest around the top
Shrimp
Shrimp•5d ago
depends on what kind of stuff you wear on top make a new thread lets start from the top
