Indigo dye and crocking

I got weirdly obsessed with the idea of getting a t-shirt dyed with natural indigo. The idea of crocking is really keeping me at bay. How bad does this sort of thing get? There are internet anecdotes of raw jeans ruining couches and car seats. Will that be the same with a shirt? Coloring the inside of everything I layer over it? Will I have to join the blue man group? Please help, I'm scared of the blue man group.

Ive done indigo dyeing before, as long as you let the garment dry afterwards and then wash it you should be fine Of course the fabric is very dependent on how much residue might be left behind Ive only done it on thin cotton / silk Ive dyed my neon green acgs that are 50/50 poly cotton in indigo and because of the mix it didnt set in dark, but left behind nothing

That's a fairly reassuring experience. Sounds like a cotton t-shirt likely will have little to no crocking compared to raw denim?

I have an indigo t-shirt and haven't had issues.
