well rtr is reaction in which CHO is placed in the ortho position the end product has hydrogen bonding, so ortho is prefered

yep cuz reimer tiemann rxn is ortho slective. plus higher e density near O- of ortho due to strong I- and R+ can be one reason too ig

but I- se toh electron density decrease hogi at ortho by R+ both para and ortho were the choices but due to the H bond ortho was preferred + solved @lim me → ∞
