Wayland, nVidia, and Bambu Studio
Lightly-customized installation based on bazzite-nvidia:41, graphics card nvidia RTX 2060.
When I open Bambu Studio (flatpak
com.bambulab.BambuStudio
), I'm greeted with a blank screen instead of the expected rendering of the model and build plate. The application worked great on plasma-desktop-x11
, but now I get booted back to the login screen when I try (and a brief search of this channel suggests I should just give up on it).
I've run the flatpak directly from the terminal but nothing seems amiss. Thoughts?

use these env variables
if you're using a flatpak, you can add them via Flatseal
a solution I have found is to install the bambu lab exe through steam, (add install.exe as non-steam game, run it, let it install, then change the steam launch settings to point to the new bambu lab exe file) then you should be able to see the "prepare", "preview", and "device" tabs.
the only downside is that you no longer can acces the home tab to login so you will have to manually connect your printer in the "device" tab
Well I'm running LAN mode anyway lol
sick, the installed exe should be in a similar location for you, just add the path as the target in steam:
"/home/{username}/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2395623914/pfx/drive_c/Program Files/Bambu Studio/bambu-studio.exe"

how is that a better solution than applying environment variables?
when did I say better?
you didn't, which is why I am asking.
then you tell me, is this a better solution?
No, it is not.
cool, Like I said above, this is "A" soltuion. not a better solution
ngl if I can't get the bottle approach to work, this might be how I set up F360
Use anything except steam
I'm just going to go ahead and close and lock this for the absolutely awful advice, the original question was answered anyway
