your laptop's performance won't improve ping. try running an ethernet cable from ur laptop to your router.

You'll want to talk to whoever runs your wifi then.

If that's the only reason you chose laptop, you should've got a PC. You're missing out on much better performance

whats ur wifi speed?

You may have to check your internet speed. I mostly got packet loss because of low speed. Ping is rather different, try to get higher wifi signal, find other access point, and/or use a vpn (iirc vpn is allowed).

Unless the laptop's NIC was made over 2 decades ago, a laptop's performance won't add network latency. Their issue is beyond their computer's interface. They should talk to their network admin to see what's up. Whether they will do something about it is another story. Universities may not care unless it's affecting something school related.

I was talking about general computer performance you fatty

Also it's down to what they can afford and how else they'll use their laptop. If they're in university they prbly want a computer they can also use in other ways, right. The performance ceiling they'll see on a laptop is way below what Valorant requires so they're good.
