Fresco Logic FL6000 4-Port USB 3.0 F-One Controller not detected
I have been using a fiber optic USB extender on a windows 10 pc with success, however now that I've recently switched to Bazzite I cannot get it working, it seems partially detected, but nothing I connect to it shows up.
The extender seem to use a Fresco Logic FL6000 controller. See attached images from both the Bazzite pc as well as the Windows 10 pc for comparison.
As one can see in the sceenshots, Bazzite does find a "Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Hub", but it does not find the "The Fresco Logic F-one Controller" that shows up in the Windows usb device tree viewer.
I found a git with official driver release here: https://github.com/FrescoLogic/FL6000
But I am a complete beginner in Linux and have no idea if I can even install drivers on Bazzite, and in any case these are not end-user drivers as it states in the git.
Any help appreciated.

Another screen, this one of a journalctl in the terminal, in case it can help someone understand the issue better.
