501 STF Sizing?
Can anyone advise how much they will actually shrink?
I typically wear a 33x30 (32 tends to be too small, 34 too big), but my true waist measurement is 35.
Following the advice to go up 1" waist, 2" length, I got 34x32. Pre-wash, they're loose in the waist (I can tack my first 3 fingers against my hip) and have to cuff like 4" to break where I'd like them.
No idea if they'll shrink enough or if I should exchange for a 33 waist.

from the anecdotal evidence i've heard, the waist doesn't shrink that much/stretches back out with wear while the inseam shrinks 2-3" and stays that length
33x32 might be the call; the 34x32 might work out if you're shrinking on really high heat or wearing them in a tub but ymmv
^mine stayed p much TTS in the waist
Hmmmm, meanwhile someone on Reddit said it was typical and theirs shrank to size. Now I don't know what to do, lol
Mine shrink TTS on wash at waist and inseam.
As in, they wind up at the marked size after shrinking, so you should order your real size instead of going up?
They wind up at the marked size
But i think you can go up one size if you want
Not to tear down the entire idea of STFs but if you live near a boot barn or something, wranglers are more accessible to try on
Hmmmmm. Silly of Levi to recommend going up a size then!
I think the going up a size is valid but it’s been a bit
One size too big isnt the end of the world you can just belt it
