One player unable to connect to the server
I'm an admin on an SMP that my friend and I both play on. Within a single day, my friend went from being able to connect to the server to not being able to connect to it. Anytime he's tried to connect to the server, he get's "Unknown Host". In preparation for events, the server owner hosts a second server through pebblehosting and my friend is able to connect to that server just fine.
We've tried having him connect to my own private servers that I host on a dedicated PC and he's able to connect to them just fine. He's only unable to connect to the main SMP server that we play on together. I don't even know where to begin to try troubleshooting what is going on; nothing seems to have changed within the last couple of hours. He's tried making a new copy of his modpack he uses, tried just the straight normal minecraft launcher, copied and pasted the server IP multiple times, a PC restart and nothing seems to be working. Any advice would be appreciated.

"Unknown Host" occurs when the client can't get numberic IP from the domain iirc, possibly because of misconfiguration on server side, DNS error on client side, or simply mistype IP address
Ask them to run
ping <your server ip>
in Command Prompt to see if it even got the numberic IP matching your serverProb 3rd 🧌
Who knows xD
They have actually tried that and they are connecting to it just fine.
If your server is pingable in their end, ask them to join your server using numberic IP, see if any different
Okay, I'll keep that in mind as it seems like it was something on Pebblehostings side of things as we didn't do anything different and now they can join.
