Yea dude just simply make the Lewis structure and count total Sigma bond it makes and how many lone pair it's outermost shell will have
Don't mind the extra lone pair down I forgot S has only 6 in 2nd shell hehehehe

So there's 2 Sigma bonds and one leftover lone pair sooo sp3

There's some exception about it in p-block silicates. I think it is sp³

Yuh I was trying to relate stuff to each other but it made me even more confused
Yeah you can see how I did it I'll share
Just basically this only but but I counted the electron in last shell then counted it backwards in excited state like in this case from 4s it went till 3s so I took all those orbital and did hybridization which will give s2p3 but since we have a lone pair removed, two orbital from last which 4s and 3pz which gives the hybridization as sp2
