When Customizing Links (https://developers.thoughtspot.com/docs/customize-links), could I get more information on 'Generic Links'. Is it only seen in the navbar (showPrimaryNavbar: true) and no where else? Is there any other scenario where this customized link will be seen?

Generic Links work for the whole application. Are you seeing this not working ?
How do we see the Generic links? Where do we see it?
Ideally from embed, you can see those in liveboard list pages as an example if you are doing full app embed. I would say, configure it and then use developer playground in full app embed to see how it works
I've tried using the Playground and I don't see any change

Can you try the following additionalFlags (https://developers.thoughtspot.com/docs/Interface_SearchViewConfig#_additionalflags) :
This should disable redirection to new tabs while I figure out what exact settings are needed.
Can you please tell me if need these links to open your URL or if we just disable these links to open a new tab, you will be good
