Trying to get started into fashion, so overwhelmed
All I wear is hoodie and sweatpants, I am trying to upgrade from that. I am looking on reddit and I am so confused. Where do I buy the basic stuff? I am trying to look for cheap but good quality, I heard about uniqlo, but is $20 the cheapest?

What is your function/use needs? Indoor desk work, outside walking level? Bag or pockets for a phone? Work casual, work formal, off work casual?
What colors do you like? Tight fit, loose, flexible/flowy or solid/stiff?
Uniqlo I think tends to be the best at that low price point, not usually recommended to go for aliexpress/amazon clothes or anything. That's not to mention thrifting though, which is very commonly done in here and would be worth checking out if budget is an issue
Inspo pictures would be very helpful here, there are many directions you could go. If you want to look around in #waywt and #inspiration and finding some examples might help.
There's also the guides in #fashion-guides , including the basic wardrobe guide, which has solid (if opinionated) recommendations on basics in the general direction of workwear/ivy/etc styles

start collecting inspo pics and thinking about what you like, and what you'd like to try out. lots of styles can be done pretty affordably if you're willing to put in the time to shop secondhand. but u gotta decide which direction u wanna go first.
thanks for the advice guys
im honestly thinking about buying basic clothing, use that as my style until I expand more
not a bad move at all
following some fashion accounts that have similar styles also helps open up exposure
plus our own #waywt thread

I just bought some uniqlo black, white and grey t shirts
what should I get that would work with them?

Oh, thank you
