Crash Report - mouseClicked event handler java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to load registries

MC opens just fine, I receive this error and the game crashes when I attempt to create a new world.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, been tackling this one for quite a while to no avail. Suspected it was due to some mods being the incorrect version due to that generally being the issue in similar online threads, but I had no success when I removed all mods where the version wasn't explicitly listed as 1.20.1
try without controlify
if that doesnt work ill need a latest.log
can u join servers still?
should I try booting up the server? give me 10m I’ll check
