Soundcard with Discord

I ended up getting the sound card you suggested on one of the machines that I use with Bazzite. I noticed that i can't get the official discord client or even canary (either via flatpak) to accept sound from the microphone when it's connected via the card. I've looked at flatseal and everything and I can't think of why this would be.
As a note vesktop works fine.

I did not have to change anything, mic input just worked
check your default mic in system settings
I'll report back later when I get a chance to do so. If it matters, I have the headset cable for the mic on the motherboard because even at the lowest, it provides too much power. The mic works perfectly on the card though. That computer has a headset with a mic, the cable is split in two out of the box.
