Afternic
I'm in need of pointing my domain registered with cloudflare to the afternic nameservers to avoid being charged 30% on a domain sale. Can someone please explain to me how I can change the default cloudflare nameservers to another service? I believe I read someone years ago that cloudflare doesnt allow for it or that its a paid upgrade but can't find any documentation on this now.

Hi @Leo, even with a paid upgrade, business account?
If this is the case I need to move all my domains from cloudflare, hundreds.
0 chance, youve attempted?
I will have too
ok thanks
I don't believe so but ok.
Im pretty confident Ive seen in the past you could use customer nameservers with a business account
no not the same
vanity would still use cloudflare platform
assigned an IP by cloudflare
Do you work for cloudflare?
also were does it say that in the terms, can you provide me a link so I can read it?
I stand corrected.

@.a.r.c.c. :)
here's your cloudflare service agreement
yeah this is an aweful rule tbh
chapter 6, service usage
it is not, you are free to transfer your domain
thanks @Idle

No its bad for people that have hundreds/thousands of domains that they're selling
they should give an option to upgrade to business plan
its not about the money its about no option to upgrade
cf makes a tradeoff by providing the domain cheaper than any other registrar.
yeah enterprise is probably not in the ballpark for domainers imho
business is fine

not if you're paying 30% on a 100k domain sale
just makes sense to register else where
agree
yeah... unless you're convincing yourself to cough up a few ten thousand just because you wanna toy around with ent features lol
agree
